PEA PROTEINS

Pea protein has excellent biological value. It provides 70% high-quality protein, as it contains all 9 essential amino acids: glutamine, lysine, and even BCAAs. It is extremely well tolerated and assimilated. It should be consumed alternately with other usual protein sources to vary intake as much as possible, while remaining close to a traditional diet that mixes animal and plant proteins. Bonus: its appetite suppressant effect, due to its slow absorption.

RICE PROTEIN

Rice protein is of plant origin and is an excellent substitute for milk or animal proteins. It contains no less than 80% pure protein in its composition, a very high content for a 100% plant-based complex.
In addition, rice protein has a very high digestibility allowing optimal assimilation of its active ingredients by the body for formidable effectiveness and does not contain allergens such as gluten or milk.

The excellent amino acid profile of rice protein offers an alternative to soy and whey protein, providing a particularly complete spectrum of what the body needs to maintain and increase muscle mass.

MEDIUM CHAIN TRIGLYCERIDES
What are TCMs and what are they used for?

Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) are derived from natural plant oils and are classified as a fatty acid. They are significantly different from typical fatty acids and contain a much lower calorie content. MCTs are rapidly absorbed and used as energy and are more closely related to carbohydrates than to fats. MCTs provide a rapid source of energy for athletes, much faster than maltodextrin or any other high glycemic carbohydrate, making them ideal for those looking to gain muscle mass.

TCM and weight loss

MCTs have been shown to increase calorie burning and reduce blood glucose levels. This can aid weight loss and increase muscle mass at the same time. Since MCTs are an efficient energy source, they are less likely to be stored as fat by the body. MCTs are also lower in calories than LCTs and can help suppress appetite and increase fat oxidation. MCTs are an ideal dietary option for anyone looking to reduce body fat.

TCM and energy source

MCTs can also have a sparing effect on both protein and carbohydrate stores in the body. Because MCTs are a highly efficient energy source, they become the body's preferred energy source. This allows the body to preserve amino acids and glycogen. They are absorbed more quickly than their cousins, LCTs, because they are shorter and more water-soluble. These properties allow MCTs to pass directly from the intestines into the bloodstream. MCTs are a popular choice as an alternative energy source for athletes on high-protein, low-carb diets.

NATURAL DIETARY FIBER
What is fiber and what is it used for?

Health Benefits of Fiber:

Some fibers are used by intestinal bacteria; they participate in the production of volatile fatty acids necessary for the maintenance and growth of essential cells in the wall of the large intestine. This action protects the intestinal flora from pathogenic bacteria.

Satiety Effect: Fiber delays the feeling of hunger and thus limits the risk of overeating.

However, it is important to drink plenty of water when eating a meal rich in fiber. This is to avoid occlusions in the esophagus. Regulates the absorption of carbohydrates and fats Fiber helps regulate the absorption of carbohydrates and fats in the stomach.

A diet rich in fiber will also help reduce blood cholesterol levels and support the cardiovascular system, and will also reduce the risk of gallstones.

A diet rich in fiber has also been shown to prevent the onset of colon cancer.

STEVIA
What is stevia?

Stevia is a type of aromatic plant native to South America, discovered in Paraguay, which contains a natural sweetener.

Is stevia high in calories?

Stevia leaves contain almost no calories, and contain zero carbohydrates! So much so that stevia extracts sold for consumption as sweeteners are considered calorie-free.

How sweet is stevia?

Stevia leaves have a sweetening power on average 300 times greater than that of table sugar

Used in powder form, its sweetening power is 10 to 15 times greater than that of table sugar.

The advantage of stevia is its negligible effect on blood sugar (blood sugar levels), which makes it perfectly suitable for consumption by diabetics.

Is stevia harmful?

Stevia was authorized for sale on the French market by a decree in January 2010 after receiving the opinion of the AFFSA (French Food Safety Agency).

Also in 2010, in May, the European Food Safety Authority issued a favorable opinion concerning the use of various Stevia extracts in foods intended for human consumption.

The famous journal Food and Chemical Toxicology has published several reports in which it classifies stevia among the sweeteners that neither stimulate the feeling of hunger nor cause weight gain in itself. Furthermore, the results of toxicological studies published in this journal show that stevia is safe for the human population, including pregnant and breastfeeding women, and children.

In 2006, the World Health Organization (WHO) conducted a study on the carcinogenic nature of stevia and concluded that there was no evidence of such carcinogenic activity.

What gives it a considerable advantage over other sweeteners is the fact that it can be heated and therefore incorporated into culinary preparations before cooking, unlike certain sweeteners such as aspartame.

Why consume stevia?

In view of the above, it is possible to say that stevia is a sweetener that has passed all health safety tests with flying colors. In addition, it is low in calories, which allows it to compete with all other table sweeteners. Stevia extracts come from plants, and are therefore less chemical than many other sweeteners.

Furthermore, stevia is a source of fiber and contains interesting nutrients: vitamins A and C, zinc, potassium, magnesium, iron, and calcium, to name just the most important!
