The organism cannot produce them and being essential for the good function of the muscular metabolism, they are known as “essential”. Taking B.C.A.A’s before the effort supports and preserves muscular tissues while bringing energy. After the workout, they accelerate and increase the regeneration of muscular tissues. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue, and is involved in more metabolic processes than any other amino acid. Glutamine can be very useful for athletes who take part in sports where strength, speed, and/or resistance are essential, such as football, cycling, running or tennis, as Glutamine is essential for periods when the body is fatigued, or under great stress, such as after a strenuous workout at the gym or a long marathon. Various scientific studies indicate that after exercise of this type, the body’s glutamine levels are reduced by up to 50% and the free radicals increase, along with the levels of antioxidants that combat them, leaving the immune system vulnerable and causing the body to start using the amino acids stored in the muscle cells, and the lack of glutamine in the muscles then begins to cause deterioration of muscle mass.
